There is something so special about a Fresh 48 session-the quiet moments, the overwhelming emotions, and the beginning of a family’s newest chapter. This beautiful Fresh 48 session at Northside Hospital in Atlanta was filled with all of those things and more.

Big sister Lottie, at just 18 months old, completely stole the show with her sweet personality and endless curiosity. Watching Mom and Dad anticipate that very first meeting between their daughters was incredibly moving. The moment Lottie met her new baby sibling was full of wonder, love, and the kind of emotion that reminds us how quickly these fleeting moments pass.

One of my favorite parts of being a Fresh 48 photographer is giving parents the freedom to simply be present. Instead of reaching for their phones or worrying about documenting every second, they can soak it all in, knowing these memories are being preserved for them.

When Mom received her gallery, her response reminded me exactly why I love what I do:

“Sobbing!!! Better than I could have imagined. Thank you again for capturing that moment for us so I could just be present. I’m just blown away!”

Those words mean everything. These first introductions happen only once, and it’s an honor to preserve them so families can relive the emotions, the tiny details, and the love that filled the room for years to come.
